GAM3S.GG is a Web3 gaming platform, which serves as a destination for blockchain gamers to discover games, earn rewards, invest in token presales, and build their on-chain identity.
With over 1M monthly active users and a fast-moving roadmap, the platform operated at startup speed: features were conceived and shipped in fast cycles, with little room for discovery or instrumentation.
My role was to bring design quality and consistency to that pace, making each feature feel intentional even when the process wasn't.
Live service games have proven that a well-designed progression system drives both retention and revenue. We brought that model to GAM3S.GG, creating a Battle Pass that rewarded consistent engagement across quests, social activity, and gaming interactions.
The first season launched with free and premium tiers and a $150,000 prize pool — NFTs, tokens, and hardware including Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Steam Deck. The premium tier sold through nearly its entire limited stock weeks before the season's end.
Most crypto launchpads are generalist — any project, any token. Ours was built exclusively for games. Beyond the token presale, backers could earn rewards inside the platform and within the supported games themselves, tying financial investment directly to gameplay.
Rather than following the conventions of crypto investment platforms, we designed the experience around what gamers already know — the familiar feeling of browsing, discovering, and backing a game you believe in.
AND CUSTOMIZATION
The Battle Pass introduced a new problem: blockchain-based prizes needed a home. We rebuilt the inventory system from scratch to accommodate NFTs earned on the platform alongside assets from users' external wallets.
We also introduced cosmetic customization — frames, backgrounds, and collectibles — letting players express identity through what they'd earned.
and Passport
The Passport is your Web3 gaming identity — a profile that aggregates your activity, holdings, and reputation on the platform. The GAM3R Score is the metric that powers it: a dynamic number reflecting your engagement level, which directly determines your allocation in Launchpad presales.
The design goal was making an abstract score feel tangible and actionable — a dashboard that shows not just where you stand, but a clear path to improve.
Inspired by loot box mechanics from games, Mystery Boxes let users spend $G3 tokens for a chance at NFTs, game codes, tokens, and exclusive collectibles. Boxes were themed around partnerships with crypto networks like Ronin, making each drop a distinct event with its own visual identity.
The design challenge was capturing the tension and excitement of an unboxing in a digital interface — themed collections and branded partnerships gave each box a reason to exist beyond the randomness.
